GameStop will sell PlayStation 5 bundles to Pro members on January 14

GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro members still on the hunt for the ever elusive PlayStation 5 may still have a chance to get their hands on the console. Again, GameStop will be selling PlayStation 5 bundles tomorrow, January 14.

The retailer has announced the first PlayStation 5 special sale event in store this year will take place in select stores on Friday, January 14. To participate, you must have: a GameStop Pro Membership subscription, which sells for $14.99 per year.

The standard PlayStation 5, which offers a disc drive, typically costs $499.99. Since GameStop will sell ready-made bundles, expect to pay more. A image published by GameStop also suggests the cheaper $399.99 PS5 Digital Edition could also be available as part of a bundle, though this hasn’t been confirmed. For the unfamiliar, the Digital Edition is a console that shares identical specs, but doesn’t have an optical drive.

While we don’t yet know what’s included in the exact contents of the bundle, historically these have usually included PS5 games and GameStop gift cards, as well as other accessories such as extra controllers or chargers.

To land the console, you need to visit a local GameStop store, which you can find it using the company’s store locator here. While the event will likely start at each store’s opening time, many will likely be queuing long before that, so be prepared to get up early. It is advisable, if possible, to check in advance whether your local branch is also participating in the event.

While this event will be hosted in several locations, GameStop has indicated that numbers will be limited.

If you don’t manage to pick one up tomorrow, keep coming back. We will continue to post updates as more restocks happen to make sure you do too.
